Now in Odesa:

When will air travel resume?

"When will air travel resume?" - all of us are concerned about it. On May 22nd, the Government of Ukraine began to weaken quarantine measures. So let's try to figure out when we will start flying again?

When airlines will resume flights?

On June 15, Ukraine plans to proceed with the resuming of air transportation. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii during a joint press briefing of the ministers of health, education, and science on May 20th, 2020.

“We will present precise schedules with information about countries that will resume air operations with Ukraine and dates. We are actively working on this because most countries of the world are still leaving their borders closed. Starting from June, a lot of countries are planning to open tourist seasons and, accordingly, entry for foreigners. Therefore, we will synchronize these processes, "said Vladyslav Kryklii.

In general, the Government introduced an adaptive quarantine exit program in stages. At each stage, certain epidemiological indicators will be measured - the incidence rate, a comparison of incidence cases for 7 days from the previous week, and the load level of hospitals. If the desired results are not achieved, the restrictions will not be removed.

What flights will be operated after quarantine?

Aviation companies will be able to resume operations depending on the epidemiological situation and quarantine measures in countries of destination. So far, not all countries that we have flight connection with, have decided when, under what conditions and which countries to open borders for. For example, Turkey and Georgia plan to resume flights with Ukraine only in early July.

Therefore, the return to work will be gradual and include a number of new rules and requirements for passengers and airports. We will publish this information as it is published by the Government.

When planning your upcoming trip, do not neglect information about the anti-epidemic restrictions in the country of destination. This will protect you from many unpleasant moments, such as two-week self-isolation, denial of entry into the country, and so on.

We are gearing up for a meeting with you. Are you ready for the journey? :)
